Dr. Ali A. Minai
Associate Professor Associate Head of Electrical Engineering |
I joined the University of Cincinnati as an Assistant Professor
in 1993. Before that, I spent eight years at the University of Virginia,
first as a graduate student in Electrical Engineering (MS '87, PhD '91;
Advisor: Dr. Ronald D. Williams),
and then as a Research Associate in the Department of Neurosurgery,
working on computational models of learning and memory in Dr. William B Levy's
laboratory. My research is in the areas of complex and biomorphic
systems, including:
I direct the Complex Adaptive Systems Laboratory, and
teach graduate courses in complex
systems, biomorphic systems, neural systems, and
random processes.
