Figure A.2: Voltage doubler Circuit

Figure A.2 shows the voltage doubler circuit used to validate the static model of a diode. The circuit consists of a tow capacitors of tex2html_wrap_inline5450 each, two diodes and a sine source of amplitude 10V peak-peak and frequency 1kHz. The diodes used are characterized by the the same model parameters as used in the half-rectifier circuit described earlier. The output of this circuit after applying the sine wave for 10 ms is shown in Figure A.3. In this figure, v(3) represents the output from SPICE and vc2 represents the SEAMS output, taken across the second capacitor(C2).
